    A 4-8 week grooming schedule is recommended for several reasons:

    1. **Prevent Matting:** Regular grooming helps prevent mats and tangles, which can be painful for your dog and difficult to remove.

    2. **Skin Health:** Frequent grooming helps keep your dog's skin clean and free from irritants, reducing the risk of infections.

    3. **Coat Maintenance:** Regular trims keep your dog's coat in good condition, making it easier to manage and keeping it looking its best.

    4. **Early Detection:** Routine grooming allows for early detection of any skin issues, lumps, or parasites, ensuring your dog stays healthy.

    1. ** More Cost Effective** Longer intervals between grooms can mean more access coat removal which can result in a higher than maintenance price. 

    Even if you prefer a longer interval, it's good to understand why shorter intervals are often recommended to keep your dog in top shape! 🐾✨

    The main difference between a full groom and a mini groom is the level of service. A full groom includes everything from a bath, haircut or trim, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and often extras like teeth brushing and a stylish finish. A mini groom, on the other hand, typically focuses on a bath, basic trimming (like around the face, feet, and sanitary areas), nail trimming, and ear cleaning. It's a great option for maintenance between full grooms! 🐾✂️

    Our luxury full groom includes a relaxing bath with high-quality products, a haircut or trim to your specifications, mud or blueberry facial,   nail trimming/buff, ear cleaning, oral care, paw balm and a stylish finish to make your furry friend look and feel fabulous! It's all about pampering your pet from snout to tail! 🛁✂️🐾

    Our premium bath package includes a thorough bath with top-quality shampoo and conditioner, a gentle blow-dry, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and a brush-out to keep your pet's coat looking shiny and healthy. It's the perfect way to give your dog a little extra pampering! 🛁🐶✨

    I recommend booking your pet’s grooming appointment in advance, it’s most ideal for clients to rebook at their pets pick-up! Especially if you have a specific date or time in mind. It's always better to secure a spot early to make sure your furry friend gets the pampering they deserve! 🐾✨

    We are an all-inclusive salon and believe the quality of our products are very important. All of our products are non-toxic and pet-safe. We use a variety of shampoos including, Hydra, Natures Specialties, Melanie Newman, Chris, Christiansen, iGroom, Best Shot and Les Pooch.

    No, Shear Designs Salon & Spaw does not offer pet boarding services. However, we can recommend reputable boarding facilities in the area.

    Simple answer is No. This be because our facility is small. By bringing us a pet that is infested with fleas or ticks. Poses a risk to other pets and staff   Who are working with said pet. Please ensure your pet is current on preventative, either medication or natural (there must be NO live bugs at check in) IF we see live bugs during the season that were hiding during the consult, you may be asked to pick up or be charged an additional fee at pick up. This fee can range from $30-$50 depending on the case. We HATE charging fees. But we have to make sure these things are covered incase we have to use products or a company to kill live bugs in the salon. 

    Puppies under six months require at least two series (2-4 weeks apart) before their first grooming session. Puppies and adults should have a complete series of vaccines which include Parvo & Bordetella (6m or 1 year), but all we require is proof of the rabies vaccine per state law.

    We will accept an exception letter in person or by email provided with a vet’s signature. Please understand that this may mean your pet won’t be allowed to stay in our facility after grooming is completed. Please allow time on your end to have the availability to pick up after the session is completed. You will be provided a pick up message 30min before the groom is completed.
